During
the third year of residency, the change in emphasis from in-hospital
specialty medicine to ambulatory Family Medicine continues.
There are several required specialty rotations as well as a stint as
Chief Resident. Many residents elect an off-site rotation
outside the Duluth area to better understand the particular demands
of rural Family Practice.
